Add background sound to your video
Many users are faced with the need to change the audio track or add background music to their video. This could be the case when you’re making a slideshow with photos only, editing a video to post on the Internet, or making a music playlist in the video form to use as a background sound on your Twitch stream. If you haven’t done it before, it’s actually quite simple and doesn’t take long!
Our tool will help you with that. It works online on any device, so you only need to have a stable Internet connection to use it. And if you want to add music to the background of a video on an iPhone, there’s also a free Add music to video app that does the same and has a few additional features.
As for the main tool, see the instructions on how to use it below!
Upload a video
Open Clideo’s Music Adder.
Click "Choose file" to pick audio on your device. You can also upload a file from your Dropbox or Google Drive account. To do so, simply hover over the arrow on the right side of the upload button and choose the option you need.
Add background sound
Once the video is uploaded, simply click "Add audio" in the right pane of the editor and pick a track you want to use. If the audio is shorter than the video, it will loop for the whole duration, but you can turn it off using the infinity sign button.
You can specify the point where the sound will start either by dragging the audio timeline under the player or by writing the timestamp in the text box in the right pane. Next to it, there’s also a "Trim audio" option where you can change the song's duration if you want to use a particular part of it.
The volume for the video and audio can be set separately, so you can mute the video’s sound if you need to by setting it to 0%.
Click "Format" under the player to change the output format. MP4 is selected by default.
When you finish editing, click "Export".
Download the result
Watch the preview to see if you like the video. To change anything, simply click "Edit". Otherwise, download the video to your device or your Google Drive or Dropbox.
