How to translate subtitles
It is hardly surprising that almost every local educational platform tries to translate its videos into English, to make them accessible for the worldwide audience and gain popularity. Manual translation takes much time and involves at least several highly educated specialists, which is not very cost-efficient. So, meet our new tool which allows you to auto-translate subtitles in no time!
Our online subtitle translator works in a browser, which makes it compatible with all operating systems and device types. As all other Clideo services, this tool is user-friendly and intuitively comprehensive, so you don’t have to read lengthy manuals to master it.
Another point: you can use our service without any fee, and upgrade to Clideo Pro only if you want to get rid of the watermark or get access to several additional perks.
Follow the three simple steps and add translated subtitles to your video in no time!
Upload a video and subtitles to the tool
Open the SRT Translator in any browser and upload a video from your device, Google Drive, Google Photos, or Dropbox.
After that, you will be automatically transferred to the screen where you can upload your .SRT file the same way.
For a more accurate translation of subtitles, make sure your video has good quality and minimal background noise, no overlapping speech or multiple languages being spoken, and that you have chosen the correct language/accent options for both the original and translation languages.
Edit subs
Edit subtitles manually if necessary: adjust their timing, change their style, alter the font, alignment, position in the screen, and other settings.
Then hit the "Translate" button and choose the needed language. Look through the subtitle translation and correct it manually, if necessary.
Then save the .SRT file and translate the subtitles to the next language you require. You can repeat this cycle as many times as you wish, depending on your subscription plan.
Save the video with embedded subs
It’s an optional step. If you just want to create several subtitle files in different languages, you may easily omit it. Otherwise, set the language you’re going to use most often, leave these subtitles, select the output format, and hit the "Export" button at the bottom right. This way, in addition to various subtitles which you can turn on and off, and change depending on the audience’s language, you’ll get a video with permanent captions.
