How to make a memorial slideshow online

Everyone grieves differently, and there are many ways to help ease the process. For example, creating memorial videos can be an important tool for honoring the person who has passed and supporting those who remain. Additionally, funeral slideshows or other parts of the memorial can be shared with those who were unable to attend.

There are many ways to make a slideshow for a funeral, such as multifunctional editors or more specialized applications. For the best results, you may need the former, especially if you want to mix photos and videos.

If you are looking for a suitable tribute video maker, our editor will come in handy! It works completely online, so you can start creating your project without downloading anything. In addition, here you will also be able to use media libraries, where you can find audio and visual files that will suit your video.

  1. Add media

Open Clideo’s Online Video Editor and click "Get started".

Then, click "+" to upload all the files you need from your device. You can also add them from the cloud storage, for example, Google Photos.

If you want to use files other than your own, in the menu on the left pane of the editor, you can browse the audio and visual libraries. As such, in the "Audio" section, you can look for a song or music piece to go with your files and set the mood.

  2. Make a slideshow

Set the aspect ratio for your video in the "Canvas" tab to make sure it will display properly on the device you’ll use to watch it. There, you can also change the color of the background to match the visuals better.

Then, place the files on the timeline in order they should play. You can also place them above or below each other at the same point if you want some files to be displayed at the same time. If you want to reposition some file, simply select it either on the timeline or in the player and move it to the place you want using your mouse or keyboard arrows.

By selecting one or a group of files, you can also make changes in the options tab that will show up once you make a selection. There you can adjust color, crop and rotate the file, change speed and volume, etc.

If you want to add some text to the slideshow, open the "Text" tab, then click any preset you like and write down everything you need. Then, you can customize the font, color, and other settings of the text.

When you’re done with editing, click "Export" and choose the suitable option.

  3. Download the slideshow

Watch the preview to see how the final result looks. If you’re satisfied with it, click "Download" to save the video to your device or cloud storage. And if you want to change something, click "Edit" to go back to the editor.
