How to create meme GIFs with sound
Hence, many people want to know how to make a GIF with audio to make it even more engaging. But do GIFs have sound?
GIF is just an image file, not a video. You can resize GIF or trim it. But it cannot contain audio. That’s why you can’t really make a file with a .gif extension that plays sound. However, a way to make a GIF with sounds is to convert them to a video format, preferably MP4.

Add files
Open Clideo’s Online Video Editor and click "Get started".
Add the GIF and an audio track you want to use along with it by clicking "Upload". You can choose files from your device, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
Make a GIF with sound
Drag the files from "My Media" to the preview area or timeline to start working with them.
Then, choose an aspect ratio preset in the "Settings" tab so that it matches the GIF size and there’s no extra space on the sides. If no preset matches it perfectly, you can adjust the background color here as well.
If you want to use only a particular part of the audio, split it at the start and end points and delete the remaining parts. Then, if the length of the GIF is shorter, simply copy and paste it as many times as needed to extend it.
When you finish editing, click "Export" at the top right and select the export option you like.
Download the result
Check if everything looks good, and if so, click "Download" to save the video to your device or cloud storage. Otherwise, click "Edit" to add changes.
