How to make video for Twitter

It is nice to know how long Twitter videos can be, which format to use, etc. These are set to follow the basic principle of the platform – the exchange of short content. These requirements include the following:

  • File size limit for Twitter videos is 512MB;
  • Video length is up to 20 minutes;
  • Supported formats are MP4 and MOV;
  • Minimum dimensions required to upload a video are 32x32, and maximum are 1920x1200.

Do you want to upload a video, but some parts don't meet Twitter video specs requirements? Our online tool will help you solve this problem in a few minutes! With it, you only need an Internet connection to create and edit your video on any device.

Using it is also simple, just follow the instructions below:

  1. Add video

    Open Clideo’s Online Video Editor and click "Get started".

    Click a "+" sign to upload a video from your device or cloud storage.

  2. Edit the video

    Firstly, change the aspect ratio if needed – on Twitter, the most fitting one is 16:9. To change it, open the "Settings" tab and apply the right preset. If there is extra space on the sides after it, you can change the background color there as well.

    Then drag the file from "Uploads" to the preview area or timeline.

    If the video is too long, select it in the timeline and drag its sidebars to change length. If you need to shorten a fragment in the middle, place the playhead on its starting point, click "Split" above the timeline, then do the same at the end and change the length of the fragment.

    Also, don't forget to add captions to encourage the viewers to leave replies! To do so, apply any preset in the "Text" tab by dragging it to the preview or timeline or clicking +. Then, write the text and edit it according to your taste.

    When you finish editing, click "Export" and choose the export option you like.

  3. Save your Twitter video

    Watch the preview to see how the final result looks. Click "Edit" to add changes if needed. Otherwise, click "Download" to download it to your device or cloud storage.
