How to add a video to Pinterest
You can actually create video pins if you comply with two requirements:
- Your country is on this list. If it is not, unfortunately, you can't create video pins. Check this link later, as it is being updated.
- You have a business account.
The process of video uploading is quite self-evident, but if you need a step-by-step manual, you can find it on the Pinterest Help page. Don't forget to make your recording meet Pinterest video specs:
- Accepted formats: MP4, MOV or M4V;
- Maximum file size: 2GB;
- Maximum clip duration: 15 mins;
- Aspect ratio: 1:1, 2:3, 4:5, 9:16.
It's a good idea to customize your company video by adding a brand mark. And here we can easily help you.
Upload a video to the editor
Open Clideo's Ultimate Video Editor in any browser, as our service works online and doesn't require installation or setting up. Hit the "Get started" button and then import a file from your device, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
Remember that a free account allows uploading files up to 500MB each, but there are no limits for the number of files within your final project. So if you create a longer video out of several short ones, it can be as large as you need.
Drag the file to the timeline or canvas area from "Uploads".
Add a brand mark
First, let's select the aspect ratio that suits best for Pinterest; let it be 1:1.
There are several ways to watermark your video, for example, you can apply a picture-in-picture effect if you want to add a logo image. But we'd like to offer you an easier option — adding a text watermark.
Go to the "Text" tab and pick a pattern you like. Add it to the timeline, enter the text, and edit the caption in the canvas area: move it to the bottom right corner and change its size by dragging the corner.
You can also modify the following text settings: text color, alignment, letter spacing, etc.
Save your project
When you're done, hit the "Export" button in the top right corner of the screen. Don't forget that if you want to save your video in the best quality, you'll have to upgrade your account to Clideo Pro.
As soon as the file is processed, you can save it to your device or cloud storage account and upload the video to Pinterest.
