How to embed a TikTok video on Twitter

It's easy to repost from TikTok, too – in the "Share" section, there is a special button to send the video directly to Twitter.

However, there is a tiny disadvantage – embedding TikTok videos in a tweet makes them look like a picture that acts as a link. When clicked, the TikTok app or website opens. This is not always convenient because when scrolling the feed on Twitter, many would not want to switch to another app and possibly lose your post if they were not following you.

In this case, it would be easier to save the TikTok video – provided that the author allowed it in the settings – and add it directly to the Twitter post. And since the Twitter format differs from TikTok, you may need to edit your video before posting it. Our online editing tool will help you do it in a few minutes!

The process is quite simple:

  1. Add video

Open Clideo’s Online Video Editor and click "Get started".

Click the "+" icon or the "Upload" button to import a video from your device or cloud storage.

  2. Edit the video

Drag the file from "Uploads" to the preview area or timeline.

In the "Canvas" tab, you can change the aspect ratio to horizontal if needed. If so, you can also set the background color for the extra space around the video.

If you want to cut some parts of the video, select it in the timeline, then "Split" the track as you need and delete the fragments you do not need.

You can also add some captions for Twitter users. To do so, apply any preset from the "Text" tab. Then, write and edit the text however you need.

When you finish editing, click "Export" and choose your preferred export option.

  3. Save the video

And there you have it! Watch the preview to make sure everything looks good, then click "Download" to download the video to your device, and you can post it on Twitter.

By the way, we suggest creating a Clideo account (it is free). Thus, if you need to make any changes to your video after posting, you will be able to find your project in your profile and make the necessary edits.
