How to edit a video in Google Drive

Thanks to cloud storages, like Google Drive, users can always access their files from any device connected to the Internet. Moreover, it’s possible even with an unstable Internet connection, which is especially useful when the user is not in their usual place. With Google Drive, creators have the convenience of using it for both regular storage and as a backup option for situations where their main device is unavailable.

  1. Upload files from Google Drive

    Open Clideo’s Online Video Editor and click "Get started".

    To import media from Google Drive, click its icon in the "Media" tab.

    Then log in to your Google account or choose the one you are logged in.

    If this is the first time you’re doing it, in the permission dialog box allow Clideo to access your Google Drive files. This permission can be revoked anytime in your Google account settings.

    Then, choose the media files you need and click "Select" at the bottom left to add them.

  2. Edit the video

    Place the files on the timeline however you like. By clicking the files separately or grouping them, you can apply various changes: crop, trim, and alter other visual settings. For videos and music, you can also edit speed and volume levels.

    If you need captions, select any preset in the "Text" tab, then write the text. After that, you can change its font, color, size, etc.

    When you finish editing, click "Export" and select the suitable export option.

  3. Download the result back to Google Drive

    To save the video back to your Google Drive, simply hover over the drop-down arrow to the right of the "Download" button and choose the cloud storage.

    You will see the corresponding message when the video is successfully uploaded to your Google Drive.

    Then, in Google Drive, you can find all your Clideo videos in the "clideo.com" folder. Thus, you don't even need to keep anything on your device, as all the files and edits from start to finish can be done in the cloud.
