What is crossfade
Our tool allows you to merge audio files or even sound from videos fast and easily. Moreover, you can even be kinda a DJ because you can add a crossfade effect to your new super-long track. What does crossfade mean?
When you cross fade music, you make one bit of audio fade out, that is, the sound disappears gradually, at the exact time as another bit of the audio fades in, that is, the sound appears gradually. This effect creates a smooth transition between the two tracks with no sudden stops or moments of silence.
Let’s see how easy it is to do it with our online tool.
Add your files
Open Clideo’s Crossfade Audio tool in any of the browsers on any device. You won’t need to register or provide your email to get your final track. Everything is free if your files are up to 500 MB each and this should be enough for pretty much everyone.
Hit the “Choose files” button to upload your songs. You can first add one track, and add other ones later, or you can upload several files at once. It is also possible to upload from Google Drive or Dropbox.
Any of the formats will be fine. Moreover, you can even upload a video file, and our tool will extract the sound only.
Crossfade your songs
Then you can start mixing your tracks. You can drag and drop them right on the timeline to change the order. Select the “Crossfade” check box.
If you need more songs, hit the “Add more files”. To delete the track that you don’t need anymore, select it and click the x icon.
The bottom left panel displays handy information about the track’s duration, as well as the file format. If you have a specific format in mind for your future music, call the drop-down menu and select the one you need.
When you are done mixing, click the “Export” button and give the tool some time to process.
Download your audio
You can listen to the final audio mix to make sure you like what you hear. Use the current time bar to move across the timeline faster.
Save the result to your device or online storage using the “Download” button. To make any changes, hit “Edit” and you will get back to the previous screen.
