How to rotate a video by a few degrees

It’s a powerful cinematic tool used by such masters as Tarantino, Hitchcock, and others. You can do just as well as famous directors!

Clideo’s all-in-one Video Editor allows editing recordings in various ways. It’s an ultimate tool which can perform almost everything you can think of: cut the recording, merge it with other files, add audio or subtitles, change an aspect ratio, crop option, background color, and, of course, rotate MP4 video by a few degrees, flip or mirror it.

It’s an online service that works equally efficiently for any device and any OS, be it an iPhone, an Android smartphone, a laptop, a tablet, or whatever else. All you need is a stable Internet connection and several minutes of your time.

Here we go!

  1. Upload a video to the tool

    Open the Video Editor in any browser, click "Get started".

    Then upload a video file from your personal device, Google Drive or Dropbox.

    As soon as the recording is imported, drag it from the "My Media" section and drop it at the timeline or preview canvas.

  2. Tilt the video

    Go to the "Transform" tab on the editing pane (actually, it will open automatically, so you don’t even have to look for it). Find the "Flip & Rotate" section and tilt the video by clicking the "+" or "-" icons. Each click rotates the recording by 5 degrees.

    You can also manually rotate the picture right in the preview by any number of degrees. Select your video and find the rotation handle at the bottom of the yellow rectangle.

    Don’t forget to hit "Fill" to make sure the image fills the whole frame and review if the effect is dramatic enough.

    When you’re fully done, hit the "Export" button and choose the output resolution. Two basic options are free, but for better quality, you’ll have to upgrade your account to Clideo Pro.

  3. Save the project

    At this step, you have two options:

    • Save the tilted video to your personal device or cloud storage;
    • Hit the "Edit" button and return to the previous screen.
