How to make an AI audio translation online

Audio translation can be useful in a variety of situations, especially when translating videos. Whether it’s to improve the accessibility of information in it, to understand the meaning of the lyrics of a favorite song, or for the purpose of dubbing it into another language. The latter usually takes the most time and also requires equipment for recording voiceovers.

However, now the process of creating high-quality voiceovers is available not only to dubbing professionals. With the help of modern tools, even an ordinary user can translate audio and generate a voiceover for the translated text and even replace the original voice with it.

If you need something like this for your project and are looking for a suitable voice translator, our tool is exactly what you need! In it, you can translate what is said in the video and include the translation as subtitles, as well as replace the original audio track with it, if necessary. All this will take only a few clicks!

  1. Upload a video

Open Clideo’s Audio Translator and click "Choose file" to select the recording you want to translate. You can also upload it from your cloud storage by hovering over the downward arrow on the right and choosing the one you use.

  2. Translate voice

On the next page, select the language used in the original clip, then the one you want to translate to and click "Start Translation".

After processing, you can see the boxes with the translated text on the right. You can check if you want to correct anything, as well as put precise time codes if they are slightly off. After that, you can alter the appearance of the text using options in the "Styles" tab.

If you need the translation as a text file, you can download it as a .TXT or .SRT file by selecting the appropriate button in the "Subtitles" tab.

You can also find additional features by clicking the gear button in the lower right corner. The "Include subtitles" option will embed the text into the final video as captions. "Change speech", on the other hand, will replace the original voice with the generated voiceover, and you can pick the suitable type of voice from the dropdown list.

When you finish editing, click "Export video".

  3. Save the result

Wait for the processing to end – note that if you use the "Change speech" option, it may take more time. After that, you can watch the preview to see how the video looks with translated text and/or voiceover. If you like it, click "Download" to save it to your device or cloud storage. Otherwise, click "Edit" to return to the editor and make changes you need.

  4. Extract translated audio from video

And what if you only need the audio part of the translation? While you can’t save the result as an audio file, you can extract it using our mini tool! The process is simple and fast.

If you are a premium user, right from the result page, you can just click the three dots icon under "Continue in..." and transfer your video with translated audio to the new tool without downloading and uploading anything in between.

Otherwise, upload the translated video in Clideo’s Audio Cutter.

Pick the "Extract Selected" option and apply fade in/out if needed. Drag the yellow handles to define which part you want to extract and specify the format if you need a specific one. Finally, click "Export".

Download the audio file with translation.
