Change YouTube aspect ratio easily
The reason for such problems lies in the aspect ratio that is not appropriate for the site you’re using. So before adding a video to a social medium, make sure to check its requirements and then edit your file in accordance with them.
Luckily we can help you with that!
Our tool allows you to upload a video directly from YouTube to change its aspect ratio completely online and free. You don’t need to have any special editing skills for that, and it’ll only take a few minutes.
Upload a YouTube video
Open Clideo's video resizer in any browser and on any device. To upload a clip directly from YouTube, click the small arrow on the right and paste the URL of the video on the bottom of the menu.
Alternatively, in the same menu, you can upload a file from Google Drive or Dropbox. By clicking on "Choose file" you can select the clip directly from your device.
Wait for the video to be processed. If it is small and your internet connection is stable, it won't take long.
Change aspect ratio of the YouTube video
Simply choose the ready aspect ratio preset on the right side of the screen. There are 6 different social media options, including resizing for Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, and post types for all of them. If you're not going to post online, select the Custom preset.
Notice the "Crop options" section. Here you can change the size of the video as well as select the color of the bars.
At the bottom of the screen, there is an option to change the file format. For all social networks it is recommended to use MP4.
When all is done, press "Export" and wait a few moments.
Save the video with new aspect ratio
Once your file has been processed, you can download it. Take one more look at it in the preview window to make sure everything is how you wanted. If it is, save the file to your personal device or cloud storage. If not — don’t worry, just click “Edit” and make the necessary changes.
