How to speed up music in a video
The audio speed is not a constant value. In our hectic world sometimes it’s crucial to convey maximum information in the shortest time possible. On the other hand, in educational videos, especially the ones that teach you foreign languages, you may need to slow down the audio to perceive all the nuances of the pronunciation.
Whatever reason you have, you’ll need a reliable and easy-to-use music speed changer. For example, Clideo’s all-in-one ultimate Video Editor.
This tool not only can speed audio up or make it slower, but in the first place it provides full-scale video editing, from recording a clip from scratch to changing its characteristics. The service works online and doesn’t require tiresome and time-consuming installation and setting up. It’s also platform and system-agnostic, so you can run it from any device with a fast and stable internet connection.
Just follow these steps.
Upload or create assets
Open our audio speed changer aka Video Editor in any browser and hit the "Get started" button to open the editing pane.
Click the "+" icon to upload visuals and other assets from your device. Alternatively, upload them from cloud storage accounts or record them from scratch right in the tool.
Speed up songs and other audio
If you have a video with embedded audio and want to change the speed of both audio and video, click the file on the timeline, open the "Speed" tab, and drag the slider or select one of the speed presets you need.
If you need to speed up or slow down the audio only and leave the visual part intact, open the "Audio" tab, hit the "Extract audio" button, click the newly added sound file, and change its pace in the "Speed" tab.
The same algorithm is valid if you initially have separate visual and audio tracks, select the audio track and adjust the speed in the "Speed" tab.
Don’t forget to perform other editing actions if needed using the navigation sidebar to the left: set the project’s aspect ratio in the "Canvas" tab, and alter files’ color schemes, orientation, timing, and other characteristics, add text, stickers, GIFs, etc.
Save the project
When you finish editing, click the "Export" button and select the output quality option.
As soon as the project is processed, give it the final run and either save it to the chosen location or return to the editing pane.
