How to fix video and audio out-of-sync issue
Many videos published on various platforms like YouTube or TikTok are recorded with music, and often, it plays a key role in the video. For example, if a creator is filming a dance, they need to move to the beat of the song. The same applies to sound in general – if the video has it, any audio delay immediately becomes noticeable.
The problem of audio not syncing with video also arises when someone wants to watch something dubbed. Perhaps you have encountered a situation when the video obviously lags behind the audio due to an incorrect configuration.
If you also have some out-of-sync videos, it can be fixed in our video editing tool! Using it, you can correct existing videos and create new ones with audio synced perfectly to the visuals. It's also very simple to navigate:
Add files
Open Clideo's Online Video Editor and click "Get started".
Then use the "Upload" button to add the video file you need. You can import it from your device or Google Drive, Google Photos, or Dropbox.
Sync audio to video
The video will appear on the timeline after uploading. Click it, then open the "Audio" tab in the options pane and use the "Extract audio" button. It will separate the visuals from the sound and automatically mute the video so there is no double audio.
After that, simply drag the elements in the timeline to adjust the sound to the video and make sure there's no delay between them. If the video lags behind, move the audio track forward, and vice versa.
If you need to make visual changes, click the video file and apply various options from the left pane. You can also add and customize captions in the "Text" tab.
When you finish editing, click "Export" and choose your preferred export option.
Save the synced video
Watch the preview to ensure it looks and sounds right. If some changes are needed, click "Edit", otherwise, download the result to your device or cloud storage.
