How to create a screen recording with sound
When looking for a solution to any problem with some software or game, many of us have probably found videos with screen recordings; maybe we even created one ourselves. However, despite the main thing in such videos being the solution they provide, sound or its absence also plays an important role. A video with a good voice-over or background music attracts and holds attention better than one without sound.
So, many may wonder how to add sound to a screen recording. This will not be an issue if the user makes a screen record with sound right away. However, not everyone has good-quality microphones or just doesn’t want to record their voice.
If you also wonder how to get sound on screen recording, our video editor will help you out! With it, you can quickly and easily add audio to your screen recording, be it sound effects, a piece of music, or even automated text-to-speech. You can even record your screen right in the editor if needed.
Upload video
Open Clideo’s Online Video Editor and click "Get started".
Click the + icon to add a screen recording from your device, Google Photos, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
If you want to create one from scratch, use the "Record" option in the "Media" tab.
Add sound
If you want to add some background stock music, open the "Audio" library in the sidebar and type "background music" or other descriptive words of your choice in the search box. Use the drop-down menu in the search field to also find various sound effects (SFX) to go with whatever happens in the recording.
In case you need a voice-over for your video, you can create one using the built-in "Text to Speech" (TTS) option. You only have to choose the language and the type of voice, then write the text to be voiced and generate it.
Then, to add sound to the recording at the right moment, simply place the audio file above the video on the timeline where it should play. After that, you can click on the audio file and change its volume level, as well as apply fade-in and fade-out effects to make it begin and end gradually.
When you finish editing, click "Export" and choose the suitable export option.
Download the result
Watch the preview to see if the final video looks good to you. If you still want to modify anything, click "Edit", otherwise, save it to your device or cloud storage.
