How to extract subtitles from a video

Add an MP4 video

Make sure you’re logged in, as the generation feature is available for registered users only. After that, open Clideo’s Auto Subtitle Generator and click "Choose file" to add the clip from your device or cloud storage.
Extract the subtitles from the MP4 video

Click "Auto subtitles", select the language used in the video, then choose "Do not translate", and click "Generate".

After the subtitles are generated, make sure there are no mistakes or correct them if there are any.

Do you rather want to have these subtitles translated into another language? No problem! To do so, after uploading the original clip, click the "Translate" button in the right-side panel, choose the language used in it and the one you need to translate the text to, then click "Generate". Save the text file

To download the subtitles as a separate subtitle or text file, simply click "↓ SRT" or "↓ TXT" in the right-side pane.
