How to check your microphone online
Whether you’re filming a video or live-streaming, sound is essential, especially if you plan to talk. Even with a good microphone, there may be issues such as finding the right distance, and sensitivity, as well as compatibility with the device and settings in different applications. So before you start recording or initiating a call, it’s worth doing a microphone test.
There are several ways to do this – for example, checking the device settings to make sure the microphone itself is connected and working, or doing a voice test in the app you will be using. However, often doing so will only show the microphone’s functionality, while sometimes you need to know exactly how your voice sounds.

Open the online microphone tester
Open Clideo’s Online Mic Test, then click "Get started".
In the menu on the left, open the "Record" tab and select "Audio". If prompted, you may have to allow the website to access your microphone.
Check mic online
If you have more than one microphone connected, you can switch to a different one by clicking the Settings icon at the bottom right of the recording pop-up window.
When you choose the right mic, click the red circle to start a recording and say a few words or sentences. After that, click the "Stop" button in the middle to stop the recording.
Playback the mic test
Click the "Play" button to hear what you sound like. If you want to test another microphone or try different settings with the current one, click "Retake" to return to the previous window.
