MP4 resizer

MP4 stands for MPEG-V Advanced Video Coding. It’s one of two of the most widely used video formats (the second one is MOV), as it is compatible with most device types, operating systems, social media, video streaming platforms, and other Internet resources.

The format is not the only social media specification to meet, though. If you are going to post your recording online, you’ll have to resize your MP4 file to make it fit the platform’s prerequisites, such as a video orientation and aspect ratio.

Upload a video

Click the "Choose file" button to select a recording from your camera roll or a cloud storage account of your choice. You don’t have to install any drivers or codecs to use the tool, as it works online and is equally efficient for Mac, Windows, Android, or any other OS.

Resize the video

Select the social media and a post type in the presets to the right of the player. If you need custom parameters, select the "custom" option in the first field and a desired aspect ratio in the second. Then change one of the values to the one you prefer. Or click the chain symbol to make it inactive and set the height and the width manually if you require a non-standard aspect ratio.

Save the video

When you are done, set the output format if a different one is needed and click "Export" to process the resized recording. Finally, save it to the chosen location.
