Why use Facebook cover maker
In an age where just about everyone has a Facebook account, it’s getting increasingly difficult to make your profile stand out among the crowd. One way is to upgrade your Facebook profile’s cover image.
Did you know that you can actually swap out a boring photo for a way more exciting video clip? Yup. Everyone knows that still images have nothing on videos, which are by far the most amazing way to grab your friends’ attention.
However, doing so would usually require some complicated editing software which is capable of resizing your videos to the correct resolution so your contacts can see it properly on your profile. Well, thankfully, that’s no longer the case with our quick and easy Facebook video cover maker.
Read on to find out how you can make Facebook covers online, in a matter of minutes.
Find and upload your clip
First thing’s first: head over to the Facebook cover maker and select a video clip for resizing. This can be anything, from some of your favourite memories during a holiday abroad, or a funny clip of your friends that you recorded on your phone. The app lets you upload files up to 500 MB for free.
And don’t worry if you don’t have any physical videos on your Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android. You can add a file from your Google Drive or Dropbox as well.
Please note that a Facebook cover can't be shorter than 20 seconds and longer than 120 seconds. In case your video is less than 20 seconds, use our Loop Video Tool before or after resizing. If it is more than 120 seconds, please use our Cut Video Tool.
Once you’ve selected your video, hit the upload option and it will be uploaded to our server within moments. The upload bar with percent markers will give you an idea of the progress.
Make your video Facebook profile cover-ready
Once the progress bar reaches 100 percent, the Facebook cover creator is ready for you to start editing your clip. Under the “Resize for” heading, ensure you have “Facebook” and "Cover" selected, otherwise your video won’t fit your profile perfectly.
If your video doesn’t quite reach the borders of the cover preset size, you can zoom to ensure it’s properly cropped and there are no black borders around the sides. You can also reposition the video if you want recenter it, for example. If you want to keep the borders, you can easily decide to have them either black, white, blurred or colored.
The app sets MP4 format for a Facebook cover video by default because the social media doesn't support many formats. You can also select MOV. Finally, click "Resize", and you’re done; your new Facebook cover video will begin processing.
Download the edited video
Depending on the size of your video file, your clip should be ready in less than a few minutes. Simply click the download button to save it to your device, or alternatively, you can keep it in the cloud and opt to share it to your Dropbox or Google Drive accounts.
