How to use video compilation maker

Whether it’s funny fails or cute cats, compilation videos are a really fun way to capture the hearts of audiences. Assembling the best bits from several other videos in one big montage, compilations can not only prove hilarious but they can earn you a good amount of traffic on social media, especially YouTube and Instagram.

However, due to their complexity in how they fuse together a host of different clips, making a compilation video hasn’t always been easy. The good news is it can now be done easily online with our tool.

  1. Select and upload your clips

To get started, head over to Video Compilation Maker by Clideo and you’ll be welcomed by the video merger tool. This can be accessed from any device, be it Mac and PC, or mobile devices such as iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

Here you’ll find a blue button on the welcome page marked “Choose files”. Hit this to select files stored on your device, or you can just drag your video files into the page.

You can also upload straight from the cloud via your Google Drive or Dropbox by tapping the downwards-facing arrow on the right edge of the button itself and selecting the account you wish to use.

Add the necessary files to make a compilation video

By the way, most video formats are supported, including the more popular MP4, AVI, MPG, VOB, WMV, and MOV formats.

Once your video files have been chosen, or the correct links have been added, the tool will begin uploading them so you can start the editing process.

  2. Get creative!

Now your videos have been uploaded to the Clideo servers, all the ingredients you need for your compilation video are there - it’s time to start cooking!

The timeline at the bottom will show you all the videos you have in your compilation. You can rearrange them using drag-and-drop until they are the desired order.

You can also choose which aspect you’d like the video to be published in on the right hand side. Choose 1:1 for square Instagram post videos, 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 or Instagram stories and 5:4 for Facebook.

Rearrange the files to create a compilation video

You can preview the video as you compile it via the play and pause button in the centre of the tool. Once you’re happy with the final arrangement of your compilation, hit the "Create" button and your videos will be processed and merged into one.

Also note that if any of the videos in the timeline are too long, you can cut these down beforehand using Clideo’s video trimming tool.

  3. Save your compilation creation

After your compilation video has been processed, you can save it in several different ways. Tap the download button to save straight to your device, or - like before - select the downwards-facing arrow and save straight to your Dropbox or Google Drive folders. Still not happy? Click the ‘Edit result’ option to go back to the editor and make any desired changes.

Save the video compilation to your device
