How to do clothes transition on TikTok

If you’re happy with the audio library the platform provides and record your videos through the app, you can simply use the Timer function to perform a rip, jump, or any other outfit change.

Set the timer and record the first part of your video. Then quickly change the clothes (keep them somewhere close) and record the next parts the same way.

Important note! To make frames transition seamless, make sure your new recording starts with the same position as it was at the end of the previous one. If you have to leave your spot (for example, to fetch a new dress), mark it with something tiny and unnoticeable, like a pin.

But what if you prefer uploading your videos to TikTok, not recording them right away? There is a solution for you too.

  1. Upload the parts of your future outfit challenge

Record several videos with different outfits each and save them to the same folder. Then open Clideo’s Video Editor in any browser, as our tool works online. Make sure your Internet connection is stable enough, as file processing may take some time, especially if you’re going to upload several chunks.

Another helpful note! You may add an unlimited number of files up to 500 MB each for free to your project.

The tool’s interface is intuitively comprehensive: just hit the “Get started” button.

Then, either click the plus icon on the left or drag and drop the files you need.

  2. Combine the files into one video

First, go to the “Canvas” tab and remember to select the 9:16 aspect ratio if you plan to post Instagram reels or TikTok videos.

Finally cut them as you need to get a seamless frame transition. You may also add an audio file with a song for outfit change to another line. Don’t forget to mute your initial video if needed!

One more note! The Editor may look complicated. Don’t freak out! It’s simpler than it looks, and you can always undo the last action by hitting a left-faced arrow at the top-right of the screen.

  3. Save the project

This step is also kind of self-obvious: hit the “Export” button at the top right and save the ready video to your device, Google Drive or Dropbox. You can perfectly do it without upgrading your account to Clideo Pro, still, the choice of output quality will be limited, and the recording will bear a tiny watermark as a tribute to Clideo service.
