How to change image format online
JPG is one of the most popular image formats, compatible with most software and devices, but sometimes it isn’t the best choice. For example, PNG is lossless, but it also causes greater storage consumption. GIF is a row of interchanging pictures that looks like a mute short video. WEBP files have the smallest size possible, but the image quality leaves much to be desired.
Clideo’s picture format converter allows converting images to JPG and other formats, such as HEIC, BMP, GIF, etc. You can also turn a static picture into a video. The tool is browser-based, hence it’s compatible with all operating systems or device types. It’s free of charge for files up to 500 MB each, and you can convert as many filess a day as you need. The output doesn’t have a watermark, and you don’t even have to sign up or log in.
The service is quite intuitive, but in case you need more information, here is a short manual on how to convert an image on a Mac or any other device.
Upload an image to the tool
Open the Image Converter and hit the "Get started" button.
At the next screen, you can drag and drop your image or select it from the local folder.
Mind, the bulk upload and file converting are not available so far, so you have to import only one picture.
Change the image format
Unfold the drop-down menu "Convert to:" and hover over the image icon to select the needed output. Then hit "Convert" and let the tool do its job.
Save the converted file
When the conversion is over, download the output right away, as it will not be stored in your projects, even if you are logged in. You can also click "Change settings" and set up another output format for the same input file, or convert a new file without exiting the tool.
