Watching foreign clips or awe-inspiring videos, we may need to slow them down to absorb every detail and comprehend every word. Sometimes the subject of the recording is so clear and well-known, that there is no use wasting time and we can speed the video up.

That’s when our YouTube Speed Controller comes in just handy.

It works online in all modern browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc. It allows changing the speed of a 500 MB file for free. It also works with all operating systems: iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, Linux.

How to change a YouTube video speed

  1. Paste a link to YouTube video

    Call a drop-down menu on the right of the big blue button and paste a direct URL to the needed YouTube video. You can also edit clips shared on any other websites or social media.

    If you want to process a file from other sources, upload it from your personal device, Google Drive or Dropbox.

  2. Set the speed

    Choose one of the 6 presets provided by the speed changer or set a custom speed from 0.25x to 4x. Mute the video to avoid the Donald Duck’s voice effect, or keep the sound if you need it.

    Choose an output extension. The recommended ones for further sharing on YouTube are MP4 and MOV.

    Click ‘Speed’ and wait while your clip is being processed.

  3. Download the result

    Download the edited video from YouTube Speed Controller

    As soon as you’re happy with the result, save it to your device or cloud storage account. If you want to try other speeds, click ‘Back to edit’ and keep going.
